Portuguese Recipe! The perfect Christmas Popovers from Mom recipe always fill the air the morning of Christmas. Fluffy popovers that my mom  makes for breakfast are a tradition in my family.

They are as big as your head and melt in your mouth. I love putting a little butter and jam in the center to eat them up.

    Christmas Popovers
The first thing she says as I walk into the kitchen is, DO NOT open the oven! Yes I know it's all about the oven and the mixing. My mom has made these since I was a child and I still love them the same.

    Christmas Popovers

Step by Step - Christmas Popovers

    1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees (I use a thermometer because ovens change, you can buy one for $10 at Target)
    2. Make sure to oil the muffin pan and fill it ¾ way. Put in the hot oven to let the oil heat.
    3. Mix ingredients for 25 minutes on medium and add mixture to the oiled pan.
    4. Place in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes until the popovers have risen and are golden brown.

    Variations - Christmas Popovers

I sometimes add different spices for more flavor to the Christmas Popovers to serve with dinner. I will some times add garlic and parsley. My favorite is chives with garlic and serve some cheddar cheese to go together.

    Tip

I make sure I have no distractions when I make them so I don't burn them. That is always my worry so I always keep the light on in the oven when I cook the Christmas Popovers.

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees (I use a thermometer because ovens change, you can buy one for $10 at Target)
    • Make sure to oil the muffin pan and fill it ¾ way. Put in the hot oven to let the oil heat.
