Recipe from Thailand!  These sweet spicy gluten-free Thai Ribs in the Oven Recipe is like no other and it will have you making them every Sunday for a football party to enjoy.

Ribs in the Oven Recipe
I had the pleasure of meeting this woman who is the best Thai cook I have ever met. No 5 star restaurant can come close to how delicious her meals are to eat. She gave me this recipe to marinate pork.

Thai Ribs in the Oven
It was spicy and full of flavor just like Jeff likes his meals (AKA Food Critic). I thought to myself, what a great way to make sweet and spicy ribs! What would be better than that on a Football Sunday, they are quick and easy to make with no fuss.

Thai Ribs in the Oven
The first thing my mother taught me about making ribs, “YOU MUST WRAP.” We like them falling off the bone. This has been my mom’s way of making ribs in the oven and nothing in my opinion comes out better. Now if you like them tough, the grill is the way to go.

  2. Add the ribs on top while separating them out on the pan.
  3. Place aluminum wrap on top and wrap the bottom to edges together to seal.
  4. Preheat the oven at 325º degrees and place the ribs in the oven for about an hour. It may take longer depending on your oven.
  5. Unwrap the top and marinate on top and put back in the oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Take out of the oven and flip the ribs and marinate, place back in the oven for another
20 minutes until they have a golden crust.
  7. Take out of the oven and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!

Variations

  • add honey instead of brown sugar
  • add the spring onion chopped on top with sesame
  • another of my favorite things is adding crushed peanuts on top

Ways to Serve

I usually make a salad or some cold-slaw to eat or better yet just some potatoes chips which there are none other then Cape Cod Potato Chips which are by far my favorite.

Tip

The thing I always do with any meat but especially ribs is leave them to marinate for at least 24 hours. Anything less wont do for me. I also leave them sometime longer which makes the meat super tender and delicious.

Where to Buy Asian Spices?

Most Asian supermarkets will carry them. I have always been able to find an Asian market close by no matter how small the town I lived in was and lets not forget. there is always >> Amazon!

Here is a list of products that I use all the time for my Asian dishes thatcan also be found on Amazon or the grocery store.
