I love lamb and when it’s on sale I will buy it every time. The secret to any good meat is MARINATE! Now most recipes say over night or 4 to 6 hours but I do it for 2 day when it is lamb.
Marinate the Lamb
2 pieces of lamb shanks steaks (On Sale 2 for $3.95)
3 TBSP of Olive Oil
1 squeezed lemon (Cost $.50)
1 TSP of garlic powder
1 TBSP of chopped Cuban Oregano (Cost Free – my friends Adriana gave it to me! Thank You)
Salt & Pepper
Put it in a plastic container and back in the fridge it goes for 2 day. Place on a rack and put the oven on for 325 degrees. I cook meat long and low so it becomes tender. Now every ones oven is different so CHECK YOUR MEAT! Mine took about about 45 minutes to cook. I cut a piece and it still had a little pink in the center.
