Gluten-Free Chex Mix made with the fall flavors takes me back to New England. Watching the leaves change, having pumpkin pancakes with maple syrup, and enjoying the crispy air outside that will require a hot chocolate by the end of the day.
How I loved the fall when living in Rhode Island and getting my camera ready to get pictures of the season changing. Then I would head over to the dinner for pancakes and pure maple syrup to pour on top.
I always enjoyed the fall season because it is what I call nature going to sleep for a while. The leaves fall, the garden is cleaned up and the tree branches are trimmed so nature can revive itself for spring. It is a time to rest so we can go under the blankets and share time together while the planet rests and we thank nature for all its harvest that we enjoyed.
Most countries celebrate the fall harvest such as Asia with Mooncake Festival or in Olivagando in Italy and in the United States, we have Thanksgiving to give thanks for what we have received. Then, there is the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, Ontario which I am most thankful for because it is the ingredient that makes everything taste like fall including this Gluten-Free Chex Mix.
This is by far my favorite snack food for game day for the whole family to enjoy.
