Where Locals Eat: New Port Richy FL

Where locals eat in New Port Richy Florida is such a great place that serves the most authentic Mexican food I have ever tasted. It's such a hidden gems of food that unless you talked to a local, you would never know it's there.

The local food scene is where you truly find great food with unique flavor. Now living in Florida its easy to get caught up in a tourist trap, so asking locals and looking online is the best way to find a local favorite.

To my suprise the ideal place was located in a gas station. The rave reviews about El Chapo Restaurant were insane on how good it was to eat. So I was off for the first time I had hope that my taste buds would be rewarded with flavorful tacos.

Only an hour away with traffic but it was worth every bite. This place topped all the best restaurants that we went to for Mexican food.

After one bite of my tasty taco, I could see wihy this popular place was part of the culinary scene in New Port Richy in Florida. The friendly atmosphere is the first thing you'll notice when you go inside.

With a creative menu of some of the most popular Mexican dishes, the selection is endless. Some say, Saturday mornings favorite place because they server breakfast too!

I of course ordered more food so I could freeze and enjoy at home. Mexican food freezes well and lasts about 3 to 4 months but I don't think it will take us this long to finish.

This has become one of our favorite spots which brings me to Jeff birthday. When I asked where do you want to go to eat on this special day, the only thing Jeff wanted was El Chapo Restaurant  Now you may think this is a fast food place in a gas station but no. It is all cooked fresh and after it is done, you can eat at the sitting area for you to enjoy your meal when it comes out. Can I say, they treated Jeff like gold once they new it was his birthday, serving different sample of free food for us to try. We laughed, we ate, and we hugged. They were so kind to us that I can see why so many people say it is the one of the best places to eat real Mexican food.

I always say to everyone, the locals will always know best on where to eat and for good reason, they eat, sleep and work in the town. They know all the ins and out and are never shy to tell you about the pride and joy of their town. They say it with pride and honor which how can you not when the food is this delicious.

So I leave you with this thought for today, one of the best things in life is sometime right around the corner from you. So if you sit at a coffee shop and start a conversation with a local don't forget to ask, what's a good place to eat? Till next time my beautiful friends as my quest for the perfect bite continues!
