American Flags on King Street Alexandria Va

Published: Jul 13, 2016 · Modified: Jan 27, 2019 by Lizzy

America Flags on King Street Alexandria Va

American Flags on King Street Alexandria Va are hard to miss during the summer months. So I decided during the 4th of July weekend to walk around and take pictures of all the flags on the street. This is only a handful of what I took. The patriotism in this part of the country is overwhelming. People decorate there homes with such pride with keeping American history alive and flags waving practically on every doorstep.

Jeff and I have traveled and lived in many different areas of the country and have never seen anything like we have in DC and Alexandria. You don't have to remind anyone here that you are an American because they are proud to speak english even if they are from another country. Not so much in Florida if I may say so. As many people as I have meet from Vietnam, Korea, Germany, Russia, France, India, they all have spoken perfect english.

We have come to admire the melting pot that this area of the country has created because of the diversity the food variety is incredible. This has been our favorite part of living in the area. I have had the best PHO with chili sauce that you can imagine and the pasta from real Italians. Russia stuffed cabbage and Greek food you will never forget.

But as soon as you step out of any restaurant or store, you know you are in America with the colonial architecture and the flags that blow in the wind. A sense of pride lives in this part of the country and why so many have wanted to come to the United States to call home.

Here are a few items to show off your Patriotic Pride!
