Ms Thomas and I decided to go to the Las Olas Art Fair on this chilly weekend. She is still decorating her home and the walls need a little décor. I was please to see so many artists with paintings, pottery and photos. What struck my eye were the gecko that you place on the ceiling fan string. They were so well detailed and colorful but a little steep for me, $25.
The glass art was beautiful and when the sun shined on the pieces, everything seems to glow with amazing colors. At $1500, this too can hang in your home.
This was the most amazing piece yet, it was done with paper, ribbon and strings. They were of women but the detail to the piece on the right were so colorful and beautiful that it took your breath away. This too can hang in your living room for $2500.
The earring where made of silver metal and curved to perfection. They were probably the most reasonable out of everything we saw. A pair went for about $40. But we had not come for earrings so we moved on for our quest of home décor!!!
At the end of the day we just admired the street fair and ate a couple of Benets and popcorn. It felt like I had gone to a fair instead of Art Festival. Walking up and down Las Olas Boulevard with Ms Thomas made me laugh and enjoy the day in this beautiful town. We left very inspired to redecorate our homes and stopped by Micheal’s on the way home!
