I always like to explore what local food is like when I visit an area and in Georgia there is this little bistro that if you didn’t hear about it from the locals, you’d never know about it, The Horse Radish Grill.
Jeff took me as a surprise and I ordered the quail on a fluffy biscuit with mushroom sauce. It melted in your mouth but the biscuit alone I would have been happy with and how many times can you say that about a biscuit!!! Then we moved on to the wood grilled duck burger with Portobello mushroom, grilled red onion, arugula, smoked Gouda cheese, sesame bun, and fries $19. The one thing I always do is try duck if it’s on a menu. I’m always interested how it is cooked. I make duck twice a year during the holiday and like to change the recipes around so I get ideas from restaurants. I have to tell ya, the best duck I’ve ever eaten was in France!
I could not finish the meal, I was stuffed. Jeff had the trout and it was cooked to perfection. Most people don’t know but you can really mess up fish when you over cook it and when you have it done just right, and fresh, you’ll never forget it. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The total on the check was $87 with 2 drink.
